Ninja distribution: you can't front on that
I am going to be sorry I started this post. I have to leave for work in one hour and a quarter.
Finn is in his office, printing, folding, and stapling his zine. I should be helping but I have to resurrect any connection I have to the outside world via this idiotic platform and awaken the Freaks Independent Press. We’re headed to the seaside next week, and he is bringing a box of zine copies as well as stickers/patreon merch to plant up and down the beach library boxes. It has been so fun to watch him grow as an artist and take on confidence, to see his joy in assembling the master copy.
I’m so god-damn tired. I have not had a vacation since last year sometime. I didn’t mean for this to happen, it just has. Not that I have been going pell-mell, my pace is deliberate and measured, but I can not sleep worth a damn for more than 5 hours at a time, if I am lucky. It is the burning of Rome and the endless debasing of minorities and women that keeps me up at night. I’ve tried many approaches: not engaging with news or reddit, selectively engaging with news and reddit, and heavily engaging with news and reddit. Nothing really works when it is this distressing and this massive. We have gone around and around about moving to Canada, but all we’ve been able to do is be designated honorary Canadians for the interim. Another story for another time.
I edited a few things in the text of my novel and remastered my book cover with the help of Finn’s artwork. I bought a new, small, ad campaign on KDP. I like the new look better. I ordered some author copies through a print service and I’ll be leaving those with Finn’s zine at the beach library boxes we target next week.
Looks like I am back online. Sweet.
